Meet The Authors
of:
Vegetarian Walt Disney World and Greater
Orlando
 Susan
Shumaker and Than Saffel have lived and traveled on four continents,
and are looking forward to tackling the other three. They have worked
together since 1993 as co-owners of Stone Circle Productions, a
multimedia design company which has produced award-winning CD-ROMs
for the education market. For the past three years the two have
focused their energies primarily on vegetarian journalism, writing
a number of articles for Vegetarian Times magazine and launching
the Vegetarian World Guides series. The experience of developing
the guidebooks has forced them to improve their already existing
skills in research, writing, editing, and graphic design, and to
develop skills in areas where they weren¹t already proficient, such
as marketing, book distribution, and patience. They currently reside
on a farm in Morgantown, West Virginia with their two dogs, Morgan
and Hannah, and their 3-year-old daughter, Rhowyn. Both are actively
involved in efforts to support vegetarianism and community-supported
agriculture in the Morgantown area.
